An Intimate Venue on Millionaire’s Row
For smaller events with up to 40 guests, the Hagen History Center offers the President’s Room on the lower level of the Wood-Morrison House, also located on the West Sixth Street campus. The mansion was built in 1858 for Dr. William Maxwell Wood, the first surgeon general of the U.S. Navy. It was later purchased by Leverett A. Morrison and his wife, Missouri Bliss Morrison, in 1865.
The President’s Room provides an inviting setting with original stone and brick walls and a fireplace. Fully equipped with off-street parking, elevator access, a private restroom, and a separate area for catering and bartending services. Venue visits are welcome during regular business hours.
