An Intimate Banquet Hall on Millionaire’s Row in Erie, PA
For Lake Erie mansion rentals to accommodate smaller events with up to 40 guests, the Hagen History Center now offers the newly renovated Victorian-style President’s Room in the Wood-Morrison House.
One of the most unique baby shower venues and party venues in Western PA, the Wood-Morrison House is located along Erie’s historic Millionaire’s Row. As extraordinary as the building is from an architectural standpoint, the history it embodies, and its original residents are even more impressive. Designed by Dudley and Hawk, the mansion was built in 1858 for Dr. William Maxwell Wood, the first surgeon general of the U.S. Navy in 1869. It was purchased by a chandler Leverett A. Morrison and his wife, Missouri Bliss Morrison, in 1865. The family lived in the area for 92 years, later purchasing the land to the west, on which the Watson-Curtze Mansion was built.
The lower level of this intimate party venue provides a gorgeous vintage setting with original stone and brick walls and a fireplace. The President’s Room is a brand-new meeting space and one of the best banquet rooms in Erie, PA, with a separate area for food or catering — a social hall mansion rental that’s perfect for showers, celebrations and professional meetings.
