The Hagen History Center recently hosted our second Wedding Market & Expo on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Over 200 guests visited and perused the floors of the Watson-Curtze Mansion, as well as the President’s Room in the Wood-Morrison House.
Over 26 local businesses participated, bringing new life to the Mansion as an event space and venue. From bakers to antique shops, make-up artists, and photographers, to attire and accessories – there was much to explore and visualize for guests planning their special day. Last year, the Hagen History Center hosted 20 weddings alone, in addition to over a dozen other private event celebrations breaking a new record. The Watson-Curtze Mansion is by far the most popular and recognized venue space of our three. Two other shining gems, the Yellow House and the President’s Room are part of our venue space offerings. Each space is incredibly versatile with indoor and outdoor facility access. Guest accommodations range between 40 to 350.
The Yellow House (436 Walnut St., Girard, PA) is a pre-Civil War Era farmhouse, seated on 120 acres of HHC’s property, with public hiking trails and even a seasonal sunflower field. Newly remodeled in the spring of 2023, the house’s first floor is a gorgeous setting for any event envisioning an elegant and rustic aesthetic. The President’s Room is a smaller banquet space that is located in the Wood-Morrison House (West 6th St. Campus; next to the Watson-Curtze Mansion). Adorned with original stone and brick walls, your intimate gathering of up to 40 guests will surely impress your guests with a unique space like no other. New cherry floors and ceiling installed in the Fall of 2023.
