The Yellow House

A Farmhouse Wedding Venue – Plan Your Rustic Reception in Erie, PA

One of the best wedding reception venues in Pennsylvania, the Yellow House in Girard, Pa., transforms your big day into the country wedding venue of your dreams. Celebrate your nuptials surrounded by resplendent gardens and farmland on the Girard campus of the Hagen History Center. Choose the rustic elegance of the Yellow House to bring farmhouse splendor to any special occasion.

Built in 1857, this historic pre-Civil War farmhouse venue in Erie County is perfect for outdoor weddings and other small reception events. Situated on 120 acres of farmland with nearly a mile of public hiking trails, the Italianate-style Yellow House was built by businessman and banker Rush Battles in 1858. The Battles Estate also includes the nearby White House, built by the family in 1861.
